No time to brew? Don't worry, you can still get that caffeine fix. Put a few tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee into this travel mug and press, add barely boiling water, and screw on the lid. Four minutes later, push the plunger and your coffee is ready. Add what you like through the opening at the top and you're good to go. The Amazing Board Game Book offers an array of peg, checker, drawing, and puzzle games that will keep children of all ages quiet during those tedious waits at the airport. (With so many small pieces, we're not sure how well it would do in the car). A narrow storage compartment built in to the front of the book keeps all the pieces handy, but you might want to tuck two or three plastic zipper bags in there to help keep things organized. A blanket approach
Neat Sheet by Kimberly-Clark is a roughly 5-by-6-foot sheet of synthetic material that is soft, cottony, and weighs just under a pound. The soft fabric protects you from sand and water, stays cool in the sun, and resists most stains. The dark blue color won't transfer to your clothes, either. it's machine washable (but should not be put in the dryer or ironed), so you can use it over and over. Unlike regular sheets and blankets, it's water-resistant; unlike with a regular towel, sand just slides off. Use it anywhere you'd spread a sheet or towel — beach, car, picnic, family room, camp.
