Maybe you didn't lose them

Make it a little easier to find you prescription glasses by registering them with the Eyeglass Rescue Inc., a Newton-based registration and retrieval service.> The company provides you with a special identification Sleeve that you slip over the earpiece of your glasses. A quick dip in hot water shrinks the sleeve, securing it on the earpiece. A second sleeve protects the identification information; then you register the glasses, calling a toll-free number or going online. People who find the registered glasses are asked to notify Eyeglass Rescue, which matches the ID number to your registration and gets them back to you. For more information, or to order, telephone 888-950-7505 or click on www.eyeglassrescue.com
